Best dinner since we left Monterrey 20 years ago...

Had dinner there on Saturday, OMG, The service is great, the cabrito is excellent, it tastes the same as if you were in one of their locations in Monterrey, you cant go wrong, if you have ever tried true Cabrito , which is originally and a typical meal in Monterrey, then save the money on the trip and go here, you will not be disappointed.

First off they serve Cabrito al pastor, which is a whole young goat opened flat and impaled on a spit, then slowly roasted over a bed of coals. This produces very tender and lean cuts of meat. Los Cabriteros is doing it the traditional way with no seasoning and the results are mouth watering perfection. I have raised, butchered and cooked Cabrito in this same fashion, and I can say that they are serving some very fresh, quality cuts of meat. Now about the cuts. They are not your regular piece like a steak, but literally a part of the goat cut off the body after it has been roasted. This is Cabrito in it's true unadulterated best. They also serve it with hand rolled tortillas, real tortilla chips, and true Mexican salsas. Prices are a little steep, but well worth it if you want to experience a true taste of what real Cabrito is like
